Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state commends FEHN

On the 17th of September 2009, FEHN’s culture of Nonviolence came alive in Yenagoa, at yet another closing ceremony of a three day Nonviolence workshop organized for Gbaran / Ekpetiama, Epie/Atissa, Okordia/Zarama and Kolo creek clusters. Shell Petroleum Development Commission (SPDC) brought FEHN to help them inculcate the Nonviolence culture in the clusters-a credible indication of FEHN’s enthusiasm in the institutionalization of Nonviolence.

In his address during the closing ceremony, His Excellency, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Rt. Hon Peremobowei Ebebi commended the efforts of FEHN in the region. He stressed his delight at the Nonviolence

initiative stating how much it was needed, not just within the region but all over the nation. He promised to pass the message across to the state government as Nonviolence is what is most needed now.
